This first Italian edition was printed in French with overlapping dates to the French first edition published in 1751. It was edited by Lucchese Ottaviano Diodati and it follows the Geneva pirate edition. The present copy is sold with two of the supplement volumes to the text (vol. II and IV) and the supplement volume to the plates (vol. XII with 215 plates). These supplementary volumes were first issued in this second edition and were published in Amsterdam and Paris: M.M.
