London: Chapman and Hall, 1861 8vo (187 x 115mm.), FIRST EDITION IN BOOK FORM, FIRST ISSUE with no edition statements on title-pages, contemporary full polished calf, borders with blind-stamped border, spines gilt in compartments with onlaid labels, marbled edges, cloth slipcase, lacking 32pp. advertisements at end vol. III, spines lightly faded, extending to upper upper vol. III, endpapers slightly discoloured Great Expectations is THUS RARE IN THIS FIRST ISSUE with all first issue points present. This copy, being rebound, lacks the publisher's advertisements at the end of volume III. Other correct issue points are as follows, of which two in volume III on pp. 103 and 193 are known only in the Sadleir copy and possibly a few others.
