From the library of Canadian Geologist and mineral collector Walter Frederick Ferrier, with a 1913 invoice to him from a German rare book-dealer. Offprints are taken from the University of Chicago Journal of Geology, American Institute of Mining Engineers Transactions, Geological Magazine, Geological Society of South Africa, Popular Science Monthly and a Smithsonian report.
