According to Hunt, Dezallier d'Argenville's La Théorie et la pratique du jardinage "was his most popular work, which went through many editions at Paris, The Hague, and London. The bibliography of [this work] is complicated by the fact that the work was at first publisherd anonymously, then under initials, then as by Alexandre Le Blond, who furnished the designs for some of the illustrations. There were French editions also in 1711, 1715, 1719, 1722, 1737, 1747, 1760, and 1777, and English editions in 1712 and 1728--and others may turn up." Hunt 421.
