(Design at Home with Mark Hill - Pure Evil Gallery, London, 7th April 2019) An original Polish film poster for (Zmory) 'Nightmares' designed by Franciszek Starowieyski for the 1979 film directed by Wojciech Marczewski, with English language for the English market, published by Film Polski, numbered 'ZGK 396/3/79 4000', 95cm high, 67.5cm wide. The following lots of late 1970s and early 1980s Polish movie posters (arguably from the golden age of Polish poster design) have been consigned by the publisher of the book 'World Cinema 1: Poland' by Frank Bren, published by Flicks Books in 1986. They have been in his possession since he worked on producing the book. Many of these French, English or dual language variations have different artwork from the Polish version, but use the same group of talented designers.
