Description: A mid-nineteenth century Copeland & Garrett hand-painted porcelain part tea service, c. 1840. Each piece has hand-painted and titled (to the reverse) scenic vignettes on a yellow and gilded ground. Comprising of: 11 saucers, 1 tea plate, 2 two-handled serving dishes, 1 footed waste bowl, 12 tea cups and 11 coffee cups. Scenes include: Loch Lomond, Rochester Castle, Lambton Castle and many other English and Scottish views. Saucers: 16 cm wide. (38) Condition: Three hairlines to one of the serving dishes, hairline to the waste bowl, wear to the gilding throughout, mostly to the saucers.
