DENT, A RARE SILVER AND GOLD OPEN FACED FREE SPRUNG KEYLESS POCKET CHRONOMETER signed Dent, 33, Cockspur Street, London, No.31972, 1899. half-plate frosted gilt movement with screwed chatons, free sprung cut bimetallic compensation balance with diamond endstone, blued steel duo-in-uno helical balance spring, Earnshaw's escapement with spring foot detent, matt silvered dial signed and numbered Dent, 33, Cockspur Street, London, No.31972, and inscribed with two Royal warrants, Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands, silver cuvette, numbered polished silver case with 18ct. gold bow and gold details, London marks for 1899, diameter 63mm, fitted mahogany three-tier deck box, the lid inset with a signed and numbered plaque.
