Dent: A rare 18ct gold keyless open face á tact pocketwatch for a blind person signed E. J. Dent Watch Maker To The Queen London, no. 16290, London hallmark 1854 the gilt three quarter plate movement with Nicole Nielson winding, bimetallic balance and duplex escapement, the gold engine turned dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds and blued steel moon hands, in 18 carat gold engine turned case with snap back and applied gold monogram to the reverse, engine turned band with raised pins to represent the hours, seperated by indentations to represent quarter hours, a glazed rotating disc in the front cover with a raised pointer enabling a blind person to 'feel' the time, movement signed and numbered, case numbered 44mm
