A fine and rare silver two-day openface pocket chronometer watch with power reserve Signed Dent, Watchmaker to the Queen, 33 Cockspur Street, Charring Cross, London, To Her Majesty, To Him The Emperor of Russia, No. 28'317, stamped with the London date letter for 1875-6 Gilt-finished three-quarter plate jewelled movement, Earnshaw-type detent escapement, bimetallic compensation balance with Mercer's type-H auxiliary, blued steel trio in uno helical spring, free sprung regulator, diamond endstone, silver cuvette, white enamel dial, Roman numerals, outer railway minute divisions, aperture for 56 hours power reserve, subsidiary seconds, large circular plain case, hinged back, case numbered, stamped with casemaker's initials JTW for James T. White and with London date letter for 1875-6, dial and movement signed and numbered 67.5 mm. diam.
