Paris: Lambert Roulland, 1680. Engraved frontispiece by Langlois after Chauveau, engraved title device of the French royal arms. 4° (253 x 185mm). (Some spotting and browning.) Uniformly bound in contemporary French red morocco, panelled in gilt with corner ornament, central arms of Louis XIV, gilt spine, gilt edges (discreet repair at head of spine of Florus, a few corners very slightly bumped). Provenance : Lord Roseberry (bookplate); D.C. Marjoribanks (bookplate); anonymous owner (sale Sotheby's, 24 November 1947, lots 112 (Justinus), 113 (Florus), and 116 (Dictys), £22, £22 and £28 to Foyle). (3)
