Histoire du Règne de Louis XIV, Roi de France et de Navarre.
Amsterdam: Aux Dépens de la Compagnie, 1720. 3 volumes, 4to (245 x 185 mm). Title page printed in red and black, engraved chapter heads, tail and intials throughout. Condition: some ink staining to endpapers, minimal foxing; light wear to corners and extremities. [With:] GRIFFET, Henri. Histoire du règne de Louis XIII, Roi de France et de Navarre. Paris: Les Libraires Associés, 1758. 3 volumes, 4to (250 x 195 mm). Half-title to each volume. Condition: internally clean; very short split to upper joint and one small area of rubbing to upper cover of vol. I, minimal shelfwear . Each set bound in fine contemporary French calf, spines tooled in gilt with 5 raised bands, red lettering labels, gilt-turn ins, all edges stained red, marbled endpapers. Provenance: Initials "A. P." to verso of front free endpaper; M. Rodolph de Castella; La Comtesse R. de Castella (bookplates).
