(I): The work is in very good condition. There are inherent pinholes to the upper right and left corners of the paper. There is an area of minor inherent abrasion on the sitter’s hooped earring to the left of centre, likely due to a water-based medium used. The work is adhered to the mount at two points along all four edges.
(II): The work is in very good condition. There are inherent pinholes to the upper and lower right and left corners of the paper. Area of minor inherent abrasion to the centre right by the sitter’s cheek and under the eye, likely due to a water-based medium used. There is a very minor abrasion to the area within the sitter’s front teeth. The work is adhered to the mount at two points along all four edges.
(III): The work is in very good condition. There are inherent pinholes to the upper right and left corners of the paper. There is an area of minor inherent abrasion to the chin and the left side of the sitter’s hat, likely due to a water-based medium used. The work is adhered to the mount at two points along the upper, lower and left edge and one point along the right edge.
(IV): The work is in very good condition. There are pinholes to the upper right and left corners of the paper. There is an area of minor inherent abrasion to the left shoulder, likely due to a water-based medium used. There are two specks of brown surface marks to the upper left. Please note there is a possible minor but stable tear with associated material build up/bubbling to the sitter’s right cheek. The work is adhered to the mount at two points along all four edges.
