Holroyd, purchased from Henry Young & Sons, Ancient and Modern Book Rooms, Liverpool, 28 December 1889, for 7/6d., with original invoice. Holroyd's initialled pencil notes indicate the dates, 4 January-5 February 1890, when each chapter was finished; some passages are also scored. FIRST EDITION.
