I spotted, occasional light browning), contemporary russia, sides with quatrefoil and trefoil tooling in gilt and blind enclosing a central panel with heraldic shield and motto "virtus vera nobilitas", spines in 6 compartments with raised bands, lettering-pieces in two, one with general title, the other naming the specific plays, the remaining compartments richly-tooled (spines relaid and with new lettering-pieces giving the general title, corners rubbed, one bottom edge slightly tarnished, ownership labels removed from front pastedowns), g.e.
