[?Darton (William)] Little Jack of All Trades, Parts I & II [all published], first editions, first issue of Part I without "J.Harris" in imprint, each with engraved title-vignette and 22 illustrations, lightly browned, a few stains, Part II with small tear to edge of one leaf affecting image of the 'Glass-blower', a few creases, contemporary ink inscriptions to front pastedowns, original printed wrappers, soiled and stained, spines reinforced with old paper strips (worn), preserved together in later roan slip-case with pull-off top, rubbed, [Darton G221 (1) & 222 (1)], 12mo, Darton and Harvey, 1804-05. ⁂ Charming work depicting tradesmen and craftsmen including printer, blacksmith, hatter, cabinet-maker, mason, boat-builder, book-binder, paper-maker, charcoal-burner, auctioneer, iron-founder, barber, engraver, tambour-worker, shot-master and clock-maker. The illustration of the 'Lighterman' in Part II has a contemporary ink annotation identifying the ship as "The Stedfast belonging to Thomas Daniel Esq." at head. The ink inscriptions mention Fanny and Susanna Daniel.
