Signature: signed upper left; inscribed with artist name, title and original owner 's name on Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, Massachusetts label on reverse; also dated [1950] in pencil on reverse

Size: 14 x 18in. (35.56 x 45.72cm) Framed Size: 18 x 22in. (45.72 x 55.88cm) Condition: Good stable condition. Some minor surface dirt visible. Areas of impasto appear intact and stable. Painting is presented unglazed in what appears to be its original frame. In 1950, his dealer Victor Waddington organised a travelling group exhibition in America, which included Daniel O'Neill Gerard Dillon and George Campbell in association with the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, and New Irish Painters.
