LIMITED EDITION OF 44 COPIES PRINTED ON JAPAN PAPER by the Officina Bodoni in Verona. Another 3,000 copies (see next lot) were printed on regular paper by the Stamperia Valdonega in the same city. More than 3,000 blocks were necessary to complete the engraving process. As the engravings were made, every image was progressively printed, and the block was progressively destroyed. The process required great skill and resulted in works of spectacular beauty. The present copy is unnumbered. A FINE COPY. (9)
