Highlights include a sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a young boy standing and holding what appear to be firecrackers in his hand, housed in a half pressed paper case; a sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a woman seated with a book in her hand and a basket on the table next to her, housed in a pressed paper case; a sixth plate daguerreotype portrait of a couple, with the woman holding a paper fan, housed in a half pressed paper case; and a quarter plate daguerreotype portrait of a man seated next to a table surmounted with unidentified tools, including one that appears to be a possible trowel, housed in a pressed paper case fully separated at spine. Five images housed in full cases, two images housed in cases fully separated at spine, and seven images housed in half cases. Provenance:Eugene R.
