2 volumes, 4to (316 x 240 mm) and folio (570 x 450 mm). Large supplemental photogravure plates in sepia numbered 184-219 printed on Van Gelder Holland with deckle edges housed in original portfolio; a very good set of the plates with only plates 197, 208, 216 and 217 showing noticeable marginal offsetting. Text volume internally nearly fine, with 77 photogravures, only intermittent faint offsetting. Publisher's half morocco bindings, bright and unrubbed, but portfolio ties fraying. 
From number 198 of the original proposed edition of 500.
