CUBAN BASEBALL CARDS A group of eighty Thomas Gutierez Cuban baseball cards, circa 1923. sepia in color. They were either cut from an album or strips and are printed on cardboard. Included are Negro League players such as Oscar Charlston, Pop Lloyd, Bill Holland, Jesse Hubbard, Frank Duncan Oscar Lewis and others as well as Cuban greats Torriente, Marsans, Almeda and Ohms. The cards are in very good to excellent condition with some ink marks. Thirty are posted on an album page and twenty-seven are pasted to cardboard. Also included is a small two-sided album page for Obsequio Tobacco with thirty-three photographic cards pasted in including Mendez (El Diamante Negro), Marsans, Guerra, Acosta and Abreu. These cards grade good to very good. (113)
