Approx. 5.5 x 7.5 in. photo. L to R - Bill Deaton (Supt. of the horse-shoe bar ranch in Montana, owned by US Senator T.C. Powers); John Matheson (old-time freighter, especially between Montana and Canadian forts. A friend of Charlie Russell for many years.); Charles M. Russell (Cowboy artist); Buck Cannon (former US Indian Scout. Managed a saloon at Maiden, MT. Saloon policy "Free drinks on the house before breakfast.") According to notes on the photo, this was given to Con Price, cowboy and author, by his some-time partner and friend Charlie Russell about 1907. Price then gave it to R.A. Griffen June 1942. Condition: Very good.
