Burgundy crushed levant morocco by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, upper cover with a central circular portrait miniature of Beau Brummel in a recessed glazed metal frame, the indented portrait surrounded by tooling in gilt and blind, with Brummel's monogram above the frame, and life-dates below; both covers with the central panel surrounded by an elaborate frame consisting of floral tools, sprays and small onlaid flowers on a dotted seme, surrounded by a decorative roll between double fillets, spine in six compartments heavily gilt with onlaid flower motifs, broad gilt dentelles, all edges gilt with gauffering, pale blue moire silk endsheets, housed in a felt lined cloth case. 8 1/4 x 5 3/8 inches (21 x 13.5 cm); 200 pp. Very attractive condition, light wear to the case.
