Cont. calf, gilt decorated ribbed spine, red sprinkled edges. 12mo edition published the same year as the first French edition (Paris, Barbin, 8vo) of this very popular description of Greece's regions, illustrated with folding plates (map of Morea, Corfou, Zante... plans and views of Athens, Megara (with sm. hole), Cephalonia...). The Blackmer and the Atabey catalogues indicate that the number of plates can vary in Coronelli's works. Coronelli (1650-was a Franciscan friar, cosmographer and publisher.
