Large title woodcut and 13 full-page woodcuts, COLORED IN A CONTEMPORARY HAND, 20 woodcut Maiblumen capitals in square frame, 37 x 37mm. The title-cut and the woodcut on a1r showing an apothecary's shop were previously used in Brunschwig's Buch der Chirurgia , printed by Schönsperger in 1497. The woodcuts are reversed copies of those of the first two editions, printed by Hans Bämler in 1475 and 1478 (the cut on a1v is an unreversed copy of the title-cut from these editions).
