The first coupon has been redeemed, presumably for Jan. 1865, but by the next one, July 1865, the Confederacy was no more. A second CSA Loan Certificate, issued according to the act of April 30, 1863. 13.5 x 16 in. Also printed by Evans & Cogswell, Columbia, SC. This one also for $1000 at 6% interest. Bond No. 2722, with 20 "C.S. Cotton Coupons," each for $60 for the year. Two have been redeemed. Condition: First with overall toning. Folds and some edge scuffing. Second with some edge scuffing and minor surface soil at top margin.
