Chicago and San Francisco: The Bancroft Company, 1893. 10 text volumes, 2 o (552 x 425 mm) and 9 atlas portfolios containg 83 (of 100) mounted plates, many in color, some signed by the artist. Text in original half calf gilt, silk doublures (some rubbing), cloth folding portfolios (some wear). LIMITED EDITION, number 37 of 150 copies of the "Author's Edition," presented to Anna Laura Barber and signed by H.H. Bancroft. There were many issues of the Book of the Fair and this signed Author's Edition is notably scarce.
