.44-40, 5.5" barrel, S/N 49431 (mfg. ca1903). Blued finish, fire blued small parts, checkered Rampant Colt logo hard rubber grips. Standard barrel address, left side of barrel roll marked FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER, Rampant Colt logo on lower left of frame above grip. Lanyard ring in butt. Condition: Very good. Retains much of the blued finish with some thinning, wear and loss from high edge wear and some scattered scuffs, scratches and impact marks. Markings remain clear, mechanically functional, fine bore. Grips crisp with some light wear and toning towards a medium chocolate color due to age and exposure to light. Matching assembly numbers on the frame under the left grip and on the rear of the loading gate.
