Title: Color lithographed advertising broadside view of the factory of Cornelius & Baker Author: Place: Philadelphia Publisher: Date: c.1875 Description: Color lithographed advertising broadside view of the factory of Cornelius & Baker, Manufacturers of Lamps, Chandeliers and Gas Fixtures etc. This view is different than the previous lot, showing their other factory at Columbus Avenue and 5th Street in Philadelphia. The legend also notes their retail store at No. 176 Chestnut Street. In addition to the factory it shows the North Fifth Street Germantown Stage in the foreground, with smokestacks belching and the American flag flying. The print is 16x24” (sight within the mat) including margins, and was lithographed on stone by W.H. Rease, 97 Chestnut St, Phila. and printed by Wagner & McGuigan, Philadelphia. Provenance: Bulkley Collection. Lot Amendments Condition: Archivally matted and framed under plexiglass, and appears clean and with bright colors, with no visible faults. Not examined out of frame.
