Plus autographed notes signed from other correspondents. “Peter has been in bed w/ valium…& codeine every 6 hours in total Pain midnite ambulances to Beth Israel Emergency Clinic, he did 600 prostrations in one day & rose up with sciatica cramp immobilized in bed, now after Dr. Ho the acupuncturist he’s up and about creaking slowly with long bewildered face…I’m completing terrific drum-heart-beat trochaic tuning of Blake’s Tyger at long last.” * 3-page ALS, about 600 words, dated January 31, 1979 to Gregory & Lisa, from Boulder.With ancillary additions by Peter Orlovsky, including a 2-page ALS. Ginsberg’s letter details an account of his own present finances, including $3000 he gave his nephew to go to college, so he can’t give Corso any money. Much on Corso’s chances of teaching at Naropa; detailed account of what it cost to restore the apartment Corso wrecked in Boulder; discusses much on Blake’s writings; news on mutual friends, including Burroughs Jr., Anne Waldman, etc. Plus Orlovsky’s long note: “…its endless Poetry reading time for USA.” All this because he needs money to grow “nut, fruit, berrys, herbs, medicine” on land just transferred to he and Allen’s names.
