Collection of documents relating to the Revolutionary War service of Luke Drury: 1. Manuscript Document, 3 pp, folio, Grafton, September 5, 1774, the Committee of Safety's resolves declaring null and void the Charter of Massachusetts by Great Britain and selecting their own town officers; Luke Drury selected as moderator of the meeting, edges frayed, fold separations with small losses. 2. Manuscript Document Signed by Jonathan Poor, Matthias Rice, and Asa Waters, 1 p, 8vo, [probably Grafton, Massachusetts, June, 1775], an oath of enlistment in the Massachusetts Service. Found with the papers of Luke Drury. 3. Partially Printed Document, 1 sheet, with 13 ruled columns, 4 of which are accomplished in manuscript, [probably Cambridge, June, 1775], muster roll of Captain Drury's company, listing the names of 49 men; lower margin extended to accommodate the names of the last 4 men, a little soiling and rubbing, few brown stains, closed 1 1/2 inch tear into names column, 2 inch fold separation. 4. Manuscript Document Signed ("Luke Drury Capn"), 1 p, folio, Dorchester, December 20, 1775, pay scale with calculations of pay from one to ten days for Privates, Corporals, 1st and 2nd Lieutenants, Sergeants and the Captain; mild browning and a few brown stains. 5. Autograph Document Signed by NATHAN MORSE as Grafton town clerk, 1 p, folio, Grafton, May 31, 1773, the minutes of a meeting held in which Luke Drury was appointed Captain of the militia; some creasing and a tiny fold intersection hole. 6. Document, partially printed and accomplished in manuscript, 1 p, folio, Worcester, 28 April 1762, a promissory note of Luke Drury; lacking lower right corner. 7. Autograph Document Signed by GARDINER CHANDLER as Sheriff of Worcester County, Massachusetts, 1½ pp, folio (conjoining blank), Worcester, March 8, 1770, the appointment of Luke Drury as Deputy Sheriff of the county. 8. Autograph Document Signed by PHILEMON STACEY, Worcester, January 15, 1771, an agreement with Luke Drury concerning dam and mill rights and in receipt of 6 pounds, 13 shillings. 9. Document, partially printed and accomplished in manuscript, signed by EZEKIEL JOHNSON, TIMOTHY JOHNSON EBENEZER PHILLIPS and LUKE DRURY, 1 p, folio, Worcester, December 9, 1774, a summons served by Sheriff Gardiner on Ezekiel and Timothy Johnson to appear in court to answer a complaint by Manoah Drury. 10. Manuscript Document, signed by PHILEMON STACET, PERLEY BATCHELLOR and JOSEPH WARREN, 1 p, 12mo, Grafton, April 28, 1777, a receipt to Thankful Sherman for 3 pounds subscription money for his men in the Continental Army. 11. Manuscript Document Signed by 23 men of Grafton, 1 p, folio, [Grafton], May 19, 1777, an oath to guard stores of the state of Massachusetts kept at Grafton under Captain Luke Drury's command; lower right quadrant lacking, lower left quadrant detached. “N.B. Every man to Come with arms & ammunition.” 12. Manuscript Document Signed by JOSHUA POOR, 1 p, 8vo, Grafton, August 21, 1776, a receipt for repayment of a loan by Timothy Darling. 13. Manuscript Document, 1¼ pp, 4to, 19th century, a copy of a prayer delivered at the opening of the first American Congress, September 7, 1774. 14. Geneaology of the Descendants of Humphrey Turner.
