Cole Bros. Circus Author: Place: Chester, PA Publisher: Date: [1945] Description: Screen print poster. 54.2x71.4 cm (21¼x28¼"). A wartime circus poster. The Cole Bros. Circus was a medium-sized American circus. It was founded in 1884 as "W.W. Cole’s New Colossal Shows", by William Washington Cole. In the 1930s, the circus employed two noted animal trainers, Clyde Beatty and Allen King, both of whom traveled in their own railroad cars. Another well-known performer with the circus was Bob Strehlau Juggles the Clown. Lot Amendments Condition: Some chips, tears and creasing, edges reinforced with tape from reverse, minor toning; about very good. Lots sold without reserve are sold “as Is” and are not returnable under any circumstances. The minimum shipping and handling per invoice is $20 for shipments to the US and $30 for shipments outside the US please consider this when determining your bid amount Item number: 327226a
