FIRST EDITION. A medical pamphlet detailing an account of conjoined twins, joined at the spine (Ischiopagus). The mother was an African slave named Anne. The illustration on the title page shows twins, very disproportioned in size. The larger twin likely with hydrocephalus as the head is extremely large. Illustrations of this type of twinning are extremely rare, and this is the earliest Dr. Goodrich has ever seen. VERY RARE no copy of this book is recorded in American Book Prices Current in the last 45 years.
