Accompanied by an invitation addressed to Matthew Frank of Bath, Illinois, to the 75th anniversary celebration of the founding of Bath by Abraham Lincoln, November 1, 1911 (Lincoln surveyed the town in 1836). Matthew Frank enlisted August 15, 1862, as a private in Co. F, 108th Illinois Infantry. He served through the end of the war, mustering out at Vicksburg on August 5, 1865. Condition: Plate with scattered very small spots and abrasions. Envelope toned and torn.
