3 volumes, 8vo (151 x 99 mm). Italic type, 31 lines. collation: (1) *8 **4 a-z8 A-P8 Q4: 320 leaves. (2) aa12 bb-zz8 AA-LL8 MM12: 288 leaves. (3) aaa12 bbb-zzz8 AAA-MMM8: 284 leaves (with the first quire in the second state, with 12 leaves, not 8). (Some intermittent, mostly marginal dampstaining, small marginal hole on title of vol. 1.)
binding: Contemporary (but not uniform) Italian blind-tooled brown morocco (155 x 103 mm), spines with longitudinal titles, traces of ties, edges gilt and gauffered, slightly varying between vols. 1 & 3 and vol. 2. (Some rubbing along joints and at corners.)
provenance: Early inscriptions on titles of vol. 1 and 2 (with some marginalia in this volume), by different hands, including "15 . 120" on title of volume 1 (a Roman bookseller's code?). acquisition: Purchased from Libreria antiquaria Pregliaso, Turin, 2008. references: UCLA 174, 179, 180.5; Cataldi Palau 44 (all volumes); Edit16 12211 (all volumes); Renouard 85/1, 86/2, 86/3
