Venice: Gabriel Giolito de’ Ferrari, 1562. 3 parts in one volume. 4to (231 x 155 mm). 372ff. With woodcut printer’s device title-page and colophon. Elaborately framed portrait piece with putti and winged goddesses opposing the prima partie on fp to 10v. Woodcut chapter headpieces and opening initials throughout, many with historiation, in italics. Contemporary vellum, ms. title to spine, partly effaced by two later labels, lettered in gilt. Condition: some occasional spots, minimal creases; vellum rubbed, corners bumped. [With:] BOCCACCIO, Giovanni (1313-75) , La Geneologia de gli dei de gentili di M. Giovanni Boccaccio . Venice: Giacomo Sansovino, 1569. 4to (205 x 155 mm). 275 ff., paginated on upper right corner. C.&p. Woodcut printer’s device to title page, several large opening woodcut initials. Near contemporary helf-vellum over paper boards, back board retaining the original red stamps, ms. title to spine. Condition : some worming and browning, most severe at first and last few leaves and EE3-6; binding rubbed.
