binding: Contemporary limp vellum gilt (170 x 107 mm), flat spine gilt, gilt edge, stubs from two pairs of ties, manuscript fragment in binding. (Upper hinge broken, binding slightly soiled, lower corner of upper cover slightly defective, one flyleaf at front of volume torn away.)
provenance: Early inscription on title-page, "P. Terrassina" — note in Greek on inside lower cover stating that the book belongs to Stephanos — John Rutherfurd (1748-1834), of Edgerston, printed booklabel — sale, Sotheby's, Hodgson's rooms, 22-23 April 1971, lot 334 (with 4 other uniformly-bound volumes from a set of Cicero). acquisition: Purchased from preceding sale. references: Edit16 12303; Renouard 152/11; UCLA 408
