(8½x6¼"), period calf, joints crudely repaired with cloth at an early date. Tobias Crisp D.D. (1600–1643) was an English clergyman and reputed antinomian (i.e,."one who holds that, under the gospel dispensation of grace, the moral law is of no use or obligation because faith alone is necessary to salvation"). He proved a divisive figure for English Calvinists, with controversy arising from the republication of his works in the present volume. Wing C6957.
