Each plate numbered and signed in pencil at bottom by Tanck, each dampstained at bottom left corner, affecting two signatures and images. Original tan portfolio, three flaps separated and lacking. Walter Heinrich Tanck (1894-1954), was a German artist associated with several modern art movements. Many or most of the sets of the above were confiscated by the Nazi government as part of the "Degenerate Art" campaign, subsequently much of his work was destroyed during an air raid in 1943. .
