[Children's & Illustrated] [L. Michellette Inc.] 54 Illustrations from "Corriere Delle Dame" magazine Milan: [L. Michelleti Inc.], 1819. No text, consisting of 54 hand-colored engraved plates originally printed for the Italian fashion magazine "Corriere Delle Dame". Finely bound in dark green faux-straight grain morocco, stamped in gilt, lightly rubbed to extremities, many plates with an innocuous horizontal crease and faint offsetting from the original magazine text; top edge gilt; marbled endpapers. This handsomely bound volume contains illustrations from "Corriere Delle Dame," an Italian fashion magazine published weekly from 1804 to 1875. Targeted primarily towards upper class women, it included articles on topics like literature, entertainment, and politics, in addition to fashion trends. The illustrations included here depict French and Italian fashions for men and women.
