A movable Christmas card, Marcus Ward & Co., circa 1870s, illuminated chromolithograph greetings card, showing a snowy scene with a boy and girl under a green umbrella, lettered below 'A Merry Christmas To You', with a tab on each side which pulls to reveal a card, each with a floral bouquet, some minor creasing to tabs, overall size 26 x 20cm (10.25 x 8ins), together with a pair of folded Kate Greenaway Valentine cards, circa 1870s, illuminated chromolithographs with embossed white borders mounted on coloured paper: 'Serenade', showing a small boy at an open window with three girls below, verse in gilt inside 'The Serenade'; and 'Bird's Nest', showing a girl and boy with a nest containing eggs, verses in blue and gilt on facing pages inside 'Maud looks through all her Valentines' and 'The Gift', 19 x 15cm (7.5 x 6ins), plus another Kate Greenaway card, circa 1870s, scallop-edged with a colour printed illustration of two small children seated on a branch of pink blossom, 'Let the New Year be to you...' on verso, 14 x 10cm (5.5 x 4ins), plus nine other items See Schuster & Engen 259; 243; 247.
