Shackleton') in his capacity as Commander of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition for the sum of £120 payable to "Cash" or "Bearer FWW", drawn on Lloyds Bank Limited, partially printed, countersigned by the Secretary of the Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition Frederick W. White cancellation marks, a few holes in the middle, light creasing, stamped 'The Shackleton Collection' on lower margin, London, 22 June 1914. Also included are: three vintage postcards featuring scenes from Shackleton's 1907-1909 Antarctic Expedition; an invitation to a lecture by Shackleton at the Aeolian Hall in New York, 8 May 1909; clipped magazine articles related to Shackleton's 1914-1916 Endurance Expedition; copy of the Geographical Journal (vol. XXXIV no. 2, August 1909) including an article dedicated to the British Antarctic Expedition; a copy of 'Aurora Australis', hardback, 4to, Airlife Publishing, 1988 (quantity)
