Chekhonin. 10 x 7 1/2 inches (25 x 19 cm); 99 pp., decorations by V. Ya. Chembers; and 15 color and half-tones plates after S. G Sudeikin, M. V. Dobuzhinsky, S. V. Chekhonin and others. Wrappers somewhat toned, edges frayed and lower spine chipped. First edition of an exceptional collection of Russian poetry illustrated by members of the Mir Iskusstva [World of Art] group. All of the participants (including the poet) were contributors to the eminent art journal Apollon; Together with SOMOV, KONSTANTIN ANDREEVICH and GRABAR, IGOR EMMANUILOVICH.
