As in the table more plainly dooeth appere. [colophon:] Imprinted at London, by Jhon Kyngston, for Jhon Wight, 1561. Edited by John Stowe. Double column, title with large woodcut of Chaucer's coat-of-arms dated 1560, 2 full-page divisional titles within pictorial woodcut frame, one pictorial headpiece woodcut on fo.1, woodcut initials. Folio, nineteenth-century green morocco, covers with broad gilt-tooled borders, spine gilt-decorated, g.e., by J. MACKENZIE, spine re-backed with backstrip laid down, some wear at edges, patch on title touching coat-of-arms slightly at top (a few small details supplied), title [*i] and *ii renewed along gutter margins (re-splitting on *ii), top and bottom margins renewed on A1 and Aai, fore-margin renewed on A2, A6 torn at gutter margin and crossing text margin approximately one inch (between lines), some other chips or tears (mostly marginal), occasionally repaired (a few supplying partial letters or words). Fifth Edition, second issue with ten leaves at front before signature B. STC 5076.
