lot of 4. Includes an insurance register with identification of Chas. F. Littlepage, Offices in the Kanawha Valley Bank Building, 7.25 x 11.25", 223pp., paper boards with several repairs to spine, the latest being a cotton strip glued to the back. Insurance accounts for Aug. 1884 through June 1888, consisting mostly of bookkeeping records. PLUS a ledger, 8 x 13", marbled paper boards, approx. 155pp. First part has hand-written headings "Charleston" and the date, this for July 1, 1876 through Oct. 1880. Most are account pages recording premium payments, commissions, etc. Pages 125-141 have policy expirations ("Expire in 1885," "Expire in 1890," etc.). Pages 191-195 and 209-219 have "Kanawha Valley Bank" headings, and list deposits, account totals, etc. PLUS an indexed ledger, 10.5 x 15.75", cloth boards, leather spine, 184 pp. (92 numbered), for Dec. 1877 through April 1886. Pages pasted in front indicate that this book was for the Royal Ins. Co. of Liverpool, with the head office in Cincinnati. First 2 pages cut out, note on next "These two leaves removed by Jno. I. Law & Son at Cincinnati, Dec. 17, '77." Volume belonged to N.B. Coleman, Charleston Agent. This one has some interesting policies, including the City of Charleston (p.29), the Ruffner Bros. (several pages), and the Capitol Building of West Virginia (p. 84). Cancelled policies also interesting, including several for Peabody Coal. There are a number of fires recorded and company pay-offs, including the Independent Board of Education for the City of Charleston, whose office building burned (date not noted, but after 1884). AND similar indexed register, probably also Coleman's, 10.5 x 16", cloth boards, leather spine, 108 pp. (54 numbered), this one with preprinted pages for the London & Lancashire Fire Ins. Co., similar company policy pages pasted into front, also with Cincinnati head office (in fact the list in front of businesses the company would not insure is identical to the Royal Ins. Co.'s list). Ledger for June 1880 through April 1886. Both of Coleman's ledgers include sample forms, etc. loose in books. Condition:First has had numerous repairs as above, pages heavily toned, some have come loose. Second has worn boards, spine nearly gone, binding coming loose. Third, besides missing pages as noted, heavy wear to covers and spine, heavy soil in corners of pages, a plain piece of paper cut from ffep. Last is
