Charles Carpenter (American, 1869-1949) worked as the photographer for Chicago's Field Museum between 1899 and 1947. During his time there, he participated in several excursions. His last trip sent him to the St. Louis World's Fair (1904) where he produced 3000 negatives of American Indians. Condition: Few light surface abrasions. Some light wear to deckled mats, including some slight loss, few chips along edges, corners. Determination accompanied by original frame (but removed from frame).
