Uncommon large-scale map of Wisconsin printed in Milwaukee, with a scale of 10 miles to the inch. Most of the settlements and railroad construction occur in the southern portions, with the northern counties largely unsettled and sparsely populated. The Chippewa Indian Reservation is located along Lake Superior. There are a number of old ink numerals and fractions across the center portion of the map, perhaps indicating quadrants or sections of interest, and also a line indicating a railroad; the ink has caused a few small holes.
