Cervantès Saavedra (Miguel de) The History of the Renowned Don Quixote de la Mancha, translated by Charles Henry Wilmot, 2 vol., engraved frontispiece and 20 plates after Wale, list of subscribers, vol.1 with note from translator leaf at end, a little browned, a few stains, contemporary calf, rebacked, corners a little worn, J.Cooke, 1774 § [Scott (Sarah)] A Description of Millenium Hall, and the Country Adjacent...by a Gentleman on his Travels, fourth edition, engraved frontispiece, ink inscription at head of title, browned, part of F gathering becoming loose, contemporary calf, spine gilt with red roan label, upper joint split, T.Carnan and F.Newbery, 1778 § Johnson (Samuel) The Lives of the most eminent English Poets, 2 vol., engraved portrait, later half calf, 1822, all rubbed, 8vo & 12mo (5) ⁂ The second is a utopian novel, formerly attributed to Goldsmith, concerning a female community.
