4to (214 x 143 mm), uncut. Italic type, 40 lines plus headline. collation: *8 a-ſ8 t4 u-x8: 172 leaves (without blank leaf t4). Woodcut Aldine device to title-page and final verso, early manuscript annotations. (One or two ink stains, closed tear to*7 repaired, occasional dampstaining and foxing.)
binding: Early nineteenth-century sheep-backed marbled boards (224 x 150 mm), smooth spine with compartments divided by gilt ropework pattern, second and fourth compartments gilt-lettered. (Spine sunned, extremities a trifle rubbed.)
