Contained in original imitation fishskin-covered case, metal clasps, the interior of the case lined with hand-coloured engraved gores depicting the known world in Caesars time, and a table of latitudes and longitudes. Van der Krogt Car 1. A fine example of Cary's pocket globe. It was remarkably up to date, recording Mackenzie's latest explorations in Canada in 1789.
