Campaign Medal. A GSM to Major A.J.R. Hooper, Royal Army Service Corps late Auxiliary Motor Pioneer Corps and served in Palestine during the Jewish Revolt, General Service 1918-62, G.VI.R., one clasp, Palestine 1945-48 (Major. A.J.R. Hooper. R.A.S.C.), extremely fine. Major Ambrose James Rules Hooper, served in the army as Company Quartermaster Sergeant with the Auxiliary Motor Pioneer Corps (later the Pioneer Corps), commissioned from the ranks as 2nd Lieutenant (139388) in the Army Service Corps August 1940, promoted Lieutenant December 1946, relinquished his commission on 1 December 1954 in the rank of Captain, being granted the Honorary rank of Major.
